Programme Overview
The B.Sc. Agricultural Science Education programme trains professional teachers and practitioners with a strong scientific foundation in crop production, animal production, soil science and agricultural engineering.
The programme combines the study of agricultural science with professional education courses in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, so that graduates can both practise agriculture competently and teach it effectively. Laboratory work, farm practicals and supervised teaching practice are central to the learning experience.
Graduates are prepared to teach agricultural science in senior high and technical institutions, to work in extension and production roles, and to progress to postgraduate study and research.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following admission requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants
Credit passes (A1-C6 / A-D) in three core subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies, plus three relevant elective subjects.
Diploma and HND Applicants
A recognised Diploma, HND or equivalent tertiary qualification may be considered for admission with advanced standing.
Mature Applicants
Applicants aged 25 years and above may apply under the mature students category and are normally required to pass an entrance examination and interview.
Practical Training
The programme is strongly practical. Students take part in:
